The MVME7100 was one of the first VMEbus products to use the MPC864xD processor. This processor offered a number of advantages over previous VMEbus processors, including:

  • Longer lifecycle

The MVME7100 was designed to be used in a variety of industrial, medical, and defense/aerospace applications. It is no longer in production, but it is still available from some resellers.
